About Us

Our goal is to grow personal relationships with Christ and share His love and grace with others.

Benwood Mt. Lebanon derived its name from Scripture. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” -Psalm 92:12-15

Here at Benwood we want to live up to our name; grow as Cedars of Lebanon and continue to bear fruit in old age.

A Church Where Hope Exists

Originating in 1850, Benwood Mt. Lebanon has battled its share of storms, yet firmly planted, we have stood the test of time and can testify that the Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. (Lamentations 3:25)

A Church that Teaches Bible Truths

We are a Bible-based, non-denominational church that presents the Word of God in simplistic, understandable, and relatable terms that everyone can understand and draw near to God .

Meet the Pastor

Tom Wolf

Tom gave his first sermon as Benwood Mt. Lebanon pastor on Easter Sunday, 2023. After filling in regularly at the pulpit for a year, he accepted our call, and God’s, to become our pastor. Under his leadership the church is getting back to the basics of caring about and helping others while having fellowship and spreading the Good News about Jesus.

Tom, and his wife Joni live in Pittsboro but are both originally from Brazil. They have two married sons, TJ and Ty, and six grandchildren. In their leisure time, you might spot them cruising in an old Mustang convertible.
